Premium payment via the LIC website:

In order to handle the payment of its plans and policies in a secure and convenient manner, LIC has set up a dedicated portal called “Online Services”, which is an on-demand premium collection service.

With this portal, customers can make payments for their policy in real-time and securely through Net Banking. You can also make online payments for LIC policies by credit card or debit card.

Only registered customers whose LIC policies are listed on the PFR website can use this feature.

Some important things to keep in mind when paying via the LIC direct pay gateway:

  • Under this option, you have to click on “Pay Premium Online”.
  • You will be redirected to a new page that displays two options: “direct payment” and “About the customer portal”.
  • If you click “Pay Directly,” you will be redirected to a page where you must select one of the following options:
    • Renewal/revival bonus
    • loan repayment
    • Advance payment of premiums
    • Loan interest payment
  • If you click on “About Customer Portal”, you will be redirected to a page where you will need to enter information such as user ID, password, date of birth, etc.

LIC Direct Pay- For Registered / Unregistered Users:

  • LIC has introduced the ability to make online premium payments process faster and safer.
  • The online payment option is available not only to customers who have registered their policies on the LIC website but also to customers who may not have done so.
  • Although the process is different for these two types of users, it offers the same convenience of making payments anytime, anywhere.
  • Users can pay their premiums with just a few clicks and receive uninterrupted life insurance coverage.

LIC Direct Pay via Net Banking For Unregistered Users

The convenience of doing business is a service that almost every bank in India now offers to its customers. This installation can be especially useful if you need to pay for your LIC online policy. The process for this is quite simple and easy and can easily be done by yourself.

It lists all the steps you need to perform to pay for the premium of your LIC policy via the Net Banking option.

  • Step 1 – To pay your premiums, you must first go to the LIC website. You can simply enter the address in your browser to visit the website.
  • Step 2 – Once the website is open, a box named “Online Services” will be displayed, containing various options, such as: Eg online lending, customer portal, online payment bonus etc.
  • Step 3 – Under “Online Services,” click on the “Pay Rewards Online” tab to start the premium payment process for your LIC policy.
  • Step 4 – Clicking on the “Pay Premium Online” tab opens a new tab titled “Direct Payments”. This page displays two fields called Direct Payment and Customer Portal.
  • Step 5 – If you have registered your policy on the LIC website, you can click on the box labeled “Direct Payment”. However, if you have not registered your policy on the LIC website and you just want to pay your policy premium directly, you must select the “About Customer Portal” checkbox.
  • Step 6 – Here’s an online payment method that does not require registration. For this we click on the box “No registration required – direct payment”.
  • Step 7 – The next page you see contains a box that says “Pay Direct”. The box contains 3 options in 3 separate sections titled “Direct Payments – No Registration Required”, “E-Services Payment – Registration Required” and “View Status of Transaction”. The “Pay Direct” box displays a drop-down menu with three options: renewal premium, loan repayment, prepayment of the premium, and interest on the loan.
  • Step 8 – You will then need to click on the “Renewal Bonus” option in the drop-down menu to go to a new page with 3 fields that shows the steps of the premium payment process. Below the fields are 2 tabs, one with Back and the other with Next. Click on Continue.
  • Step 9 – On the next page you will get to the first step of paying the premium, the customer confirmation. Here you must provide information about the policy. In particular, you will be asked to provide your LIC insurance number, date of birth, registered mobile phone number and email ID, as well as the amount of the down payment. After you have entered all this information, you must also enter a captcha code in the space provided.
  • Step 10 – When you have entered all the information and the captcha code, click Submit.
  • Step 11 – This will take you to the Payment Information page, where you will essentially need to review the information you entered about your policy. When you’re done, click on the “Payment” tab.
  • Step 12 – The next page will again display a multi-column box containing your font information, as well as individual columns for additional fees (if applicable) added to the amount of the premium to be paid. These may include service tax, access to education, late fees, etc. The total amount of the premium to be paid will be displayed in the “Payment” column. You must check the box below this column and click Submit.
  • Step 13 – This takes you to the last step of the payment process, where you confirm the bonus details and also select the payment method. You can make a payment via Net Banking via BillDesk Gateway or via a credit / debit card (IDBI Gateway).
  • Step 14 – Click BillDesk Gateway to make a payment via Net Banking. This takes you to a page with a list of banks from which you can choose. LIC’s online payment service supports all major banks, allowing customers to easily pay online.
  • Step 15 – Click on the bank where you have an account and you want to pay with Net Banking. Click Submit to confirm.
  • Step 16 – You will be redirected to the Net Banking login page of your chosen bank.
  • Step 17 – Enter your Net Banking user ID and password to log in to your Net Banking account. Once you are logged in, you will be asked to verify the payment amount.
  • Step 18 – Just follow the instructions you received for payment. In most cases, online banking prompts you to provide certain network numbers listed on the back of your debit / credit account-related account.

LIC Direct Pay For Registered Users:

If you have registered your policy on the LIC website, you can pay a premium on the e-services offered on the LIC website.

The steps to perform premium payments using this feature are:

  • Step 1 – Visit the LIC India website at On the home page, locate the Online Services section and click the Pay Premium Online tab.
  • Step 2 – You will be redirected to a new page where you will find two options: “Pay Premium by e-Services” and “LIC Pay Direct”. Click on the first option to select it.
  • Step 3 – You will be redirected to the LIC e-Services page, where you must click on the “Registered User” option.
  • Step 4 – The next page asks for your LIC ID and password. Enter the required information and click the Submit button.
  • Step 5 – To get the details of your policy, you must first register it on the website.
  • Step 6 – In the Electronic Services section, you will find a tab titled “Registration Policies”. Click on it.
  • Step 7 – As soon as you click on it, you will be asked to provide your insurance number and the amount of the premium to be paid.
  • Step 8 – Next, click on the “View Registered Policies” tab on the left side of the page.
  • Step 9 – Then a page with a code will be displayed. Fill in the code and click “Submit.” Then you can see the details of your policy.
  • Step 10 – After accessing the online service portal, you can view all the strategies you have entered.
  • Step 11 – After viewing the details of the Customer Service Policy, the option “Online Payment of the Premium” will be displayed, allowing you to make the payment online.
  • Step 12 – Then click the LIC Pay Premium Online tab to view the list of fonts that you registered in your LIC account.
  • Step 13 – On this page, select the fonts for which you want to pay the premium and click the Submit button to confirm your selection.
  • Step 14 – You will be redirected to the payment gateway page, where you can make the payment via Net Banking or your credit / debit card.

LIC Direct Premium Pay By Debit /Credit Card:

In addition to online banking, you can also pay for your LIC premium with your debit card. The process for this is simple and easy to understand. Debit / credit card payments are made through the IDBI Gateway.

To start the premium payment process with your debit card, simply follow steps 1 through 13 listed in the “LIC direct pay of premium online via Net Banking” section.

The following steps are listed here:

  • Step 1 – As soon as you click on the circle next to “IDBI Gateway”, you will be redirected to another page that displays service charges and service charges for each type of card. Indicate your card type and the amount of the premium to be paid to learn the service tax applicable to the amount you are paying. Then click Submit.
  • Step 2 – You will then be redirected to the page that prompts you to enter the details of your card to complete the transaction. In most cases, you will be asked to enter your debit / credit card number, card expiration date, CVV2 / CVC2 number, name on card, email ID, and cell number. Also enter the captcha code displayed in the box. You can also make a payment with a password, an OTP PIN or a password.
  • Step 3 – Click Pay. You will receive a receipt for payment to the e-mail address you have provided or registered in your LIC policy.
